Your Life as a QMHP-C
  • Manage a small caseload of client/families providing comprehensive services, holistic behavioral techniques (primarily in the home) and interventions that will reduce the client's risk of removal from the home.
  • Be on call 24 for hours a day, seven days a week to respond to crisis situations
  • Provide direct behavioral educational services to the client using a variety of evidenced-based psycho-educational techniques  
  • Provide the appropriate documentation on a weekly basis
  • Prepare detailed progress reports on a quarterly basis.
  • Participate in client specific team meetings pertinent to the progress of the client and their family.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other client involved service providers and professionals such as school personnel, attorneys, social workers, and probation officers.
  • Connect the client and family to wrap-around services
  • Attend court hearings pertaining to the client and provide a written or oral report to the court and other officials deemed appropriate for the report.
  • Provide assistance with after care services as needed.
Applicants Necessary Qualifications
The qualified candidate for this position MUST have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related human service field from an accredited college or university; with at least one year of experience working in direct services of individuals with a diagnosis of mental illness.
The qualified candidate must have knowledge of effective mental health treatment modalities or best-practice approaches, knowledge of principles and techniques of basic interviewing and evaluation, working knowledge of human services systems, roles of human service personnel, and relevant community resources. The applicant must also have the ability to maintain effective working relationships with social services providers, and their clients and be able to demonstrate basic oral and written clinical skills.
